PARASOL is authorised to deliver a range of HSR courses. We are proud to be a provider of Health and Safety Representative training for the Commonwealth and  Australian Capital Territory jurisdictions.

This course equips an elected worker representative the skills to identify workplace hazards, resolve safety issues, and represent colleagues on work, health and safety matters. The course legislation according to the jurisdiction, legal obligations and consultation processes to ensure safer work environments, as mandated by WHS laws in Australia.

Target participants: Health and Safety Representatives, Managers and Supervisors, Human Resources, Business owners, PCBU’s or anyone who has an interest in gaining skills and knowledge in Health and Safety and the current legislation.  Although HSR courses are designed for Health and Safety Representatives (HSR’s), it is highly beneficial for anyone wishing to gain a better understanding of safety legislation, their responsibilities, risk assessment and much more.

Timing: The initial five (day) HSR course must be completed within 6 months of commencement.

Training providers: In keeping  with section 72 (1) of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011,  Health and Safety representatives are allowed to attend a course of training that is approved by the regulator and chosen by the Health and Safety Representative, in consultation with the person conducting the business or undertaking.
